10 Reasons You Should Start Cycling Everywhere

The humble bicycle is making a come back! Whether it’s cycling to work, school or around the park it’s a great way to keep fit and to get from A to B. However, there are so many reasons why we think you should put your pedal to the metal but we’re sharing our favourite reasons to start cycling with you. We think you’ll be convinced after reading just these 10 ;)

1. It’s much faster than walking
Speed walkers take note, cycling is 5 times faster than the average walker.

2. You’ll sleep like a baby
Cycling is a great form of exercise and all good exercise will wear you out and give you an easy breezy sleep.

3. You’ll save money
The great thing about cycling is it’s free! You won’t be paying for petrol or public transport and if you cycle enough you won’t need that gym membership either!

4. Get in and out of the office quicker
Cycling to work will increase your brainpower and make you quicker on your feet. The more agile your mind, the more work you’ll get done quickly.

5. Beat the bugs
Cycling helps make your immune cells more active which in turn helps them more actively fight off sickness.

6. Versatility is the key
There are some places where driving just isn’t feasible, so this is when your trusty bike will come in handy. You can also get through pedestrian short cuts and park your bike for free pretty much anywhere!

7. You’ll get the creative juices flowing
Ever had a writers block or simply lacked inspiration? Regular exercise like cycling will get your body moving and you mind!

8. Get a high…. Of the natural kind
Cycling, like most exercise releases endorphins, which make us feel really great. Who wouldn’t want that?

9. You’ll own everyone on the field
Cycling is an endurance sport so it’ll automatically increase your fitness levels. It’s not a magic potion but you’ll definitely notice the difference when you play any other sport.

10. You’ll look and feel fab
If you cycle a lot you’re going to fit as fiddle and when you’re fit as fiddle you’re bound to feel wonderful about yourself! P.S. Cycling is also one of the best ways to strengthen and tone your muscles.
