Dinner party diaries - June

Having people over for dinner is such a great experience, but putting together a menu that is easy to cook and is guaranteed to impress your friends can be difficult. Each month, we’ll publish a ‘dinner party menu’. Each of these will have an appetiser, main course, dessert and drink suggestion. Stay tuned for some awesome party tips, and be sure to share your dinner party ideas with us below!

STARTER: Caesar Salad Cones

Caesar salad is a crowd favourite – but as it’s such a well-known recipe, we suggest adding a personal twist to your salad - and these cones are the perfect way to do it!

MAIN COURSE: Chorizo chicken and potatoes

This is a super easy dish that makes the whole house smell delicious when guests arrive.

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Chop up your potatoes, onions and chorizo and put them in an oven dish.
  3. Put the chicken on top. It’s best to use chicken thigh for this recipe, so that the meat is really juicy and tender.
  4. Drizzle oil onto your ingredients and season with salt and oregano.
  5. Place in oven for 90 minutes.
  6. Serve with green beans fried in butter and salt.

DESSERT: Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies

Sinful, scrumptious and irresistibly charming, these chocolate cheesecake brownies will make you everyone’s favourite host, and have your guests crawling back for thirds.

DRINKS: With chorizo chicken at the helm of June’s dinner menu, a red wine is perfect to take you through the night. Our suggestions for this party would be either a Merlot or Pinot Noir.
