Here’s why simple pasta is better!

You’ll find that in this day and age, many people shy away from the simpler side of life - 3 cars, 2 houses, 6 electronic devices... or at least 10 ingredients listed on a restaurant menu! Okay, we might be exaggerating a bit, but more things can make life quite hectic. To dispel the conventional wisdom that more is always better, we’re here to tell you why less is more when you cook your pasta!

1. It saves time.

Do you come home exhausted? Got other things to do besides cook dinner? Got unexpected guests? You can keep your food simple without compromising on quality, with just a few ingredients that will really do the trick! This means you get more time to spend more time with the people you love.

2. It saves on dish washing.

Did you know you can cook pasta just using one pot? <link to One Pot Pasta article> When you’ve got plates and cutlery to wash, using just one pot to cook all your pasta and ingredients in can make a big difference. Plus, washing other pots and cooking utensils uses up more water. So you’re minimising clean-up time, the amount of dishes you have to clean and saving water all at once. A winner for all!

3. More time to relax!

We mentioned this before, but thought we’d mention it again (relaxation is important, you know!). Cooking tends to take up quite a lot of time - how many times have you heard someone say they have to get home at a certain time just so they can cook a good family dinner? Eating is important of course, but with that always comes preparation. The less time you take to make a good meal, the more you get time for yourself!

4. Kids love it!

We know that kids don’t always finish their meals - it’s easier for them to just eat the one dish, rather than a dish with sides and all the other extra stuff. Simple pasta meals do the trick - try this Kids’ Mini Cheese and Vegetable ravioli recipe. Requires only a few vegetables and kid-sized ravioli!
