If you’re not sure how to start, here are a few tips and tricks to get you on your way. 1. Start by choosing a convenient spot with at least six hours of sunlight per day. 2. A mini herb garden in a big pot holds moisture and allows room for future growth. 3. Harvest often but be careful not to over-fertilise or over-water. 4. If you’ve become the herb master and have too many herbs to handle, cut into bunches and keep in glasses of water for up to a week. Now, you can have a beautiful smelling bouquet you can eat! We think we’d prefer that than flowers any day… and think of all the dosh you’ll save. Handy hint: Hardy herbs like mint, thyme, chives, lemon balm and sage are really easy to take care of – they’re really hard to kill, even if you tried!
