Who is Betty Crocker?

Betty Crocker - cake… cookies, brownies, muffins and well, you get the picture. But where did it all start? Well, the Betty Crocker brand came to life in the US in 1921 after an overwhelming amount of women wanted advice about baking. However, Betty hit her big break in 1924 after hosting her radio segment encouraging and helping women with their baking dilemmas. Betty was even there for the Second World War, helping women with rationing and keeping up morale. The Betty brand grew over the years with TV shows, cookbooks and of course new and delicious recipes. By 2000, Betty Crocker was the 4th most recognised brand of the 20th century – not too shabby for a woman who loved to cook and spread the baking joy.
